What is Eurosea?

Eurosea is a seminar for Sea Scouts from all over Europe. Every two years, leaders, organisers, and enthusiasts come together to share ideas, build new collaborations, and shape the future of Sea Scouting.
Organised by a host country and the Odysseus Group, supported by WOSM – European Scout Region, Eurosea provides a platform for inspiration and international connection.
Participants are registered through their National Scouting Organisation (for the Netherlands, this is Scouting Nederland).

📢 Next edition: Eurosea 17 will take place in Zeewolde, the Netherlands, from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August 2026.

The Odysseus Group

The Odysseus Group is a network of Sea Scouting leaders from across Europe, founded after Eurosea 3 (1992). The group supports Sea Scouting, shares knowledge, and assists in preparing future Eurosea seminars.
Its name refers to Odysseus – the adventurous sailor from Greek mythology – symbolising connection, adventure, and exchange.

The Odysseus Group is re-elected at each Eurosea. Every participating country has one vote. Candidates must be present at the Eurosea.
The group consists of up to six members, each from a different country.
